At Western Outfitting & Guide Company, We provide all the fishing gear you’ll need, and we’ll handle the fish cleaning too. Just show up, cast off, and let the good times roll.

MEETING POINT

The exact time and location will be confirmed by your captain prior to your trip. Exact time depends on time of year, weather, tides, etc. In most cases, you'll meet at the designated boat launch for waterway access.

WEATHER ALERTS

Ocean Trips: Offshore conditions can change rapidly. Our team closely monitors the forecast and will notify you as early as possible if rescheduling is necessary. We aim to align your trip with the most favorable weather window and optimal water conditions. Your safety is our top priority. If you're flexible, we may be able to offer an alternative excursion targeting a different species, depending on availability and conditions.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING​

Fishing License: Please ensure you have correct license for the target species. See websites for additional information below. 

Oregon ODFW       https://dfw.state.or.us 

California CDFW    https://wildlife.ca.gov 

Appropriate Clothing: ​Rain gear, warm layers, deck-safe shoes for ocean trips, waders or waterproof boots (if wading or water crossing is part of your trip), sun screen, hat & sunglasses. 

Food: Please pack your own easy to eat meals, snacks and drinks.

Additional Recommendations: Cooler or fish bag for transporting your catch home (please leave in your vehicle).  Cash for dockside purchases or tips. Standard tipping etiquette is $75-$100 per person per day based on the level of service and effort provided.

​DEPOSIT

A deposit of 25% is required to secure your reservation. This helps us prepare your trip and hold your date. Full payment due 30 days in advance of your arrival date.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Captain-initiated cancellations: In the event of unsafe weather or unforeseen circumstances, the Captain may cancel or reschedule. You’ll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
Guest-Initiated Cancellations: 

• 45 or more days before departure: Full refund of your deposit.

• Less than 45 days before departure: 50% of your deposit refunded.

• Less than 72 hours before departure, no-shows or same-day cancellations, we reserve the right to charge your card for the full amount of the charter fee.

Our base camp in Gold Beach is perfectly positioned between the Chetco, Elk, and Sixes Rivers—giving us the flexibility to fish where the bite is hottest. Whether conditions shift or the fish are on the move, we’re ready to take you where the action is.
